a little bit of politics wouldnt hurt, rite?? :P

hehe...its april already

i've not been blogging....the whole of march was like a rush of adrenalin

first thing, the 12th Msian elections

for someone who is not into politics, i managed to stay up until 4.00am to look at the results of the election

why?

because i still remembered the image of Dr. Koh Soo Kun announcing that the Barisan Alternatif had won control of Penang!

it was surreal...and as the nite passed.....I watched as Perak, Kedah and Selangor fell into the Barisan Alternatif

watching the poll results was way better than watching any movie or reality show that i've watched on TV or cinema in recent memory!

on a more serious note, I think it is a good wake up call to ALL politicians in the country. the voters have demonstrated their power (yeah baby!), and hopefully, this will ensure that all elected reps will do their jobs diligently.

over the month, it has been an interesting observing the aftermath of the elections. i've noted that people have been more open and direct in voicing their problems n concerns to the authorities. supporters of the opposition, or Barisan Alternatif, are no longer afraid to show their support in public.

...and i've also seen people jumping the bandwagon, supporting B.A because 'its the in thing to do nowadays'....hahahaha...posers....u can never get rid of them!

all positive development in my point of view....

then there was the UMNO fracass...calls for Pak Lah to step down, issues with the Mentri Besars for Perlis and Terengganu, finger pointing...etc...which was sad to see.

at a time when the party needs to be at its most united, these issues were the last thing that they needed!

my salute to Gerakan, especially Dr. Koh Soo Kun and MCA, for handling their losses well. UMNO would do well to learn how to take defeat gracefully from them.

now, I cannot comment much on UMNO (I am from Sarawak). however, I agree that the main issue with BN, generally, and UMNO, specifically, is that they lost touch with the people they represent.

on top of that, i do think that it was simply a case of BN resting on their laurels...

to those who won, congratulations. to those who lost, take it in your stride, and analyze yourself before u start pointing fingers.

the time for talking is over, now its time to walk your talk

i believe many Malaysians will be taking a real long, hard, detailed view of their elected reps for the next five years.

went to inspect my newly built apartment last week

was a bit disappointed to find many defects, so i was not able to move in immediately

luckily, nothing serious....just a missing tile there, cracked tiles here, not enuff paint here, bla bla bla

do hope the developers will repair it urgently, as i simply cant wait to move in!

my only regret in marriage is that i didnt get married earlier! tihihihihihihi
